Special July 17
Thursday with the Editor
to focus on new Form 990
Editor Don Kramer will present a special Thursday with the Editor phone seminar at 1 p.m. ET on July 17 on the requirements of the new Form 990 and its 16 supporting schedules. (See Ready Reference Page: “New Form 990 Will Greatly Expand Reporting Requirements for Nonprofits.”)
The new form, which is the first major change since 1979, will raise a series of new questions about the governance of nonprofits, and many organizations will want to be sure that they have new policies and procedures in place before the end of the year so that they can answer the questions truthfully and appropriately for potential donors.
Kramer will present the summary from the point of view of a potential donor and from the point of view of a governmental regulator who might be looking for inaccurate or incomplete responses. The presentation will last about an hour, including time for questions from the participants on the call.
Subscribers receive a $10 discount on the standard $39 fee for participation in the Thursday calls. To register, click here.
